DANNY BOY, you’re taking the P*ss. I sincerely hope you leave Newcastle United VERY soon. I hope the club refuses to offer you a contract.

You’re a spoilt little BRAT and I hope you’re soon playing for some lower league or non league outfit.

Mind, I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, not even Sunderland. You tell us that your comments about your Newcastle future have been taken out of context. I DO hope not.

So, Danny Boy, why my anger at you.

It’s your fatuous and risible comments to the magistrates when you faced up to a driving ban.

You showed yourself to be completely self-centred and thoughtless; an uncaring, unthinking rich kid when you said you couldn’t afford a chauffeur if you were banned.

(For those reading this who don’t know, what Danny Boy actually said was: “'I don't see a chauffeur as an option because they cost a lot of money. I'd have to rely on teammates and taxis. I earn less money than most Premiership players although I am on good money.”)

Danny Boy, “GOOD MONEY” doesn’t cover it. You earn – by most estimates – around £10,000 a week.

A WEEK.

OK, so part of that is taxed at 50 per cent – and there’s National Insurance. It’s still safe to say you take home more than £5,000 a week!

That means that every year, you – Danny boy - earn £260,000 AFTER deductions.

Someone earning minimum wage on a 40 hour week gets £12,000 a year.

When did YOU last work 40 hours in a single week Danny?

Those are the kind of people who go to St James’ Park and cheer you on Danny Boy.

Lots of those who cheer you on are on less, without work and on Jobseekers. Quite how they afford tickets beats me, but THEY DO. I’m disabled. I get to home matches. I “take home” less than a tenth of what you take home in a year on my disability pension!

That holiday you had with Joey and the lads in Las Vegas in the summer. That’s a distant fantasy to the bulk of NUFC fans. Some haven’t had a holiday (never mind a trip abroad) and NEVER WILL!

Most live in homes that you could buy if you saved up ten weeks net pay. A year’s pay for you (TAKE HOME PAY) would buy them a mansion.

No Danny. You’ve well and truly done it. I shall be at the Wigan game on Saturday, and I shall be praying that Ryan Taylor gets the right back slot, and that Davide Santon comes in at left back.

Then you can be left right back in the dressing room. Frankly, the dog’s house would be too good for you!

As to your laughable “I’m going, I’m staying” dance, lets review YOUR words.

You told the court: “I have 18 months’ left on my contract and I don’t think it will go past that.”  Remember, Danny, if that wasn’t true, you lied to the court and that’s a VERY serious offence!

Yet you tweeted yesterday: “Don't believe everything u read, things get taken out of context! Very happy at Newcastle n I'm staying.” 

One of those two statements MUST be untrue, Danny.

Now, I wouldn’t want my bosses to get into trouble with lawyers, so I’m not calling you a liar. I deal only in the facts. One of those statements CANNOT be true which means you ... I’ll let others draw their own conclusions.

But I do hope it was the court which heard the truth, for your sakes as well as ours. Perjury can carry a jail sentence, even for hard-up souls like you, Danny, who don’t earn enough to pay a fine.

And if the club wishes to earn a transfer fee, you’ll be leaving in January or the summer.

When the manager took you off on Sunday against Spurs, I turned and said to the person next to me. “That’s his Newcastle career on notice.”

I stand by that!
